September Refuge Stewardship Weekend

Friends of Malheur NWR Stewardship Volunteers are critical to meeting the needs of Malheur NWR. This early fall work party will assist with various Refuge needs that are yet to be determined. Work may include: 

• Brush clearing and other groundskeeping
• Work at the new Volunteer Campground
• Tending to the Pollinator Garden
• Assisting with the Headquarters Dry-scaping project
• Retrofitting light fixtures to reduce Malheur’s light output
• Other projects to be determined.

Housing at the Malheur Field Station in Dorm E (private rooms) will be provided by the Friends.
Donations to support housing costs are welcome.

Arrive at Malheur Field Station on Friday at 4:00 PM or after
Work Saturday from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM + Breaks and Sunday from 8:30 AM to Noon
If the work is complete Sunday morning will be open for volunteers to enjoy the Refuge.
Check-out Sunday by 12:00 PM
