Come and learn about what is happening out and about on the Refuge – This special afternoon begins at 2:00 pm with an opportunity to meet Malheur NWR staff and get an update on happenings around the Refuge. Refuge Staff from the Management, Biology and Maintenance Departments will be on hand to share their perspectives and experiences on the ground. After brief presentations about their work, they will engage with attendees in a panel style Q & A session. This program will have a Virtual Option for members and friends who are unable to join in person.
At 5:00 pm, a social hour will be held at the Pine Room in Burns, Oregon followed by a catered dinner. The evening will include a Special Guest Presentation by US Fish & Wildlife Service Bioloigist John Vradenburg who is stationed at the Klamath Basin NWR Complex. Mr Vradenburg presention is titled, Wetlands – Historical Conditions Are The Path To A Successful (Wetter) Future. For more information on this event evening, see the May 9 FOMR Events schedule.
