Wet Meadow Management Study VIRTUAL Presenation

Malheur National Wildlife Refuge Habitat Ecologist, Travis Miller, and Bird Alliance of Oregon’s Eastern Oregon Program Biologist, Dr. Teresa ‘Bird’ Wicks are excited to share the story of evolving monitoring that is informing adaptive management for the betterment of sensitive meadows.

Together they are transitioning from decades old bird survey protocols by using modern technology. Deploying this technology across the landscape using a site selection process that represents the diversity of habitat, treatment types, and invasive species that are threatening widespread monoculture.
