Friends of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge is sharing with both appreciation and no small touch of sadness that Jill Hadley will be stepping down from her role as Crane’s Nest Manager. Jill has been such an important part of the Friends family for 2.5 years now. We will truly miss her steady presence, kind spirit, and deep care for the work and people around her.
During a time of substantial organizational growth and change, Jill offered something invaluable: stability and an infectious positivity. Her calm leadership, reliability, and creative perspective helped create a strong foundation for the Crane’s Nest and for the team supporting it. We are forever grateful for the dedication she brought to the role and the many ways she helped guide the organization throughout her time with us.
Not so fast! While we prepare to welcome Kaitlin Clark into this role, Jill is not all together done with us just yet. Jill will remain full time through May to help train Kaitlin and support a smooth transition, and she will continue part time through the summer to ensure the Crane’s Nest remains well supported. Her willingness to stay on in this way speaks volumes about her generosity and commitment to Friends of Malheur.
We are deeply thankful for Jill’s service and the heart she has brought to the organization. She will always be a valued part of the Friends of Malheur community, so don’t be surprised if you continue to see her around at events or in the store.
